The Pool House – East Sussex

Set within the grounds of a private estate, this Pool House was designed to create the ultimate year-round retreat. By reimagining the original pool building, we delivered a space that feels as effortless as it is luxurious.

The centrepiece is a state-of-the-art glazing system, allowing the entire perimeter to slide open in the summer months so the pool connects seamlessly with the surrounding landscape. In the winter, the same space transforms into an intimate indoor spa — warm, inviting, and filled with natural light.

Every finish was carefully considered: walls and a bespoke bar clad in rare Italian stone bring a sense of timeless elegance, while handcrafted joinery completes the interiors with understated precision.

This project embodies the Black Deer ethos — combining natural materials, contemporary design, and meticulous craftsmanship to create spaces that are both functional and unforgettable.
